Extreme piercing has much in common with tattoos and piercings but still it's not so popular and moreover is legalized not in all states. Extreme piercing is one more type of body art and body modification which can be divided into two categories: implants and beading, scarification and branding.
Implants and beading
The most frequently used implants are scrotal implants, 3-D implants and beading implants. Scrotal implants are typically made of such materials as stainless steel and nylon and are inserted in the scrotum. This type of surgical operation has its risks and the main risk is infection and inflammation which can be caused right after this extreme piercing procedure. Those implants which are used must be made of medical materials as far as if any other materials are used serious problems can be easily caused and end up either with amputation or blood poisoning. 3-D implants are very popular among those people who moderate their bodies with extreme piercing, these implants (various objects) are 100% implanted under the person's skin. The right procedure of implantation is done only according the certain medical methods, moreover 3-D implantation is extremely risky in all respects including infections, biocompatibility problems, pressure on nerves and shifting. However in comparison with traditional types of piercing, implants are closed wounds and are not very dangerous if pay proper attention to extreme piercing aftercare. Notice that such impantation procedures are legal only is some states. Beading implants which are very often called pearls are beads or other small objects which are implanted under the skin. The main thing is that only biocompatible beading implants must be used. Traditionally they are made of stainless steel, nylon, titanium, silicone, niobium or teflon. Scarification
Another type of extreme piercing is scarification, in other words creating scars on one's skin. Scarification includes also branding and cutting. Scarification is the oldest type of body art and the most painful. Originally it was done by making deep cuts and ash which was put into these cuts. Today scarification is also made with tattoo gun which is not filled with paint. Such scarification method is advise as far as it causes less keliods.
